House Safeword
The designated safeword for this location is "Safeword."
Using the Safeword
-
Immediate Stop: Use the safeword loudly and clearly to indicate an immediate and complete stop to any scene activity, regardless of what is happening.
-
Staff Intervention: Event staff are trained to listen for the safeword and will immediately intervene to stop the scene if they hear it used.
-
Repetition: Don't hesitate to repeat the safeword multiple times if necessary to ensure that it is heard and that the scene stops. Your safety and comfort are the top priorities.
Nonverbal Safeword
-
Accessibility: If you are unable to speak or need a nonverbal way to indicate that a scene needs to stop, inform the Dungeon Facilitator before the scene begins. They will work with you to establish a nonverbal signal that can be used to safely stop the scene.
-
Options: Nonverbal safewords can include hand signals, gestures, or other agreed-upon cues.
-
Clarity: Ensure that the nonverbal safeword is clear and easily recognizable by both you and the Dungeon Facilitator to ensure a swift and effective response.
Remember

The safeword is always respected.
-
There are no consequences for using the safeword.

-
Please bring your own tarps, towels, or sheets to protect the play area and maintain hygiene during your session. These coverings are essential for preventing damage to furniture and floors, as well as managing any potential mess.
-
Sanctum prioritizes the cleanliness and safety of our play spaces and provides cleaning supplies to clean play stations before and after use; however, Sanctum does not provide protective coverings. Please come prepared with coverings that are appropriate for the size and nature of your planned activities. Remember that maintaining a clean and safe environment is everyone's responsibility.
